IPL Laser Skin Rejuvenation is a non-invasive, efficient method for minimising hyperpigmentation.
Short for Intense Pulsed Light, IPL uses concentrated light pulses to penetrate beneath the skin, directly targeting melanin. The heat breaks down pigment into tiny particles, which the body naturally processes by either bringing them to the skin’s surface as small scabs or removing them through the lymphatic system.
The treatment is generally comfortable and requires no downtime, offering an effective solution for a clearer complexion.

The number of treatments needed varies depending on the severity of your skin’s pigmentation. On average, 6-8 sessions are recommended, followed by an evaluation to assess your progress. Some individuals may see desired results after this, while others with more persistent pigmentation may require additional treatments.
We recommend starting with a “test patch” to confirm your suitability for the treatment and gauge potential outcomes. Sessions are typically scheduled every two weeks. It’s advised to avoid fragranced products for at least three days before treatment, and to protect your skin by staying out of the sun and wearing sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher to prevent further pigmentation damage.
After the treatment, there is no downtime, and you can resume normal activities. It’s common to experience mild redness immediately after, which typically fades within a few hours. Additionally, you may notice a light, grazed appearance on the skin as the pigmentation rises to the surface, which can last up to two weeks. During this time, avoid picking or exfoliating the treated area.
IPL Pigmentation Treatment is ideal for individuals who have uneven skin tone or pigmentation concerns such as sun spots, age spots, or melasma. It is suitable for most skin types, especially those with fair to medium skin tones.
Those who are looking for a non-invasive solution with minimal downtime to improve the appearance of their skin may benefit from this treatment.
However, it is not recommended for individuals with very dark skin tones or active skin conditions like eczema or rosacea. A consultation with a skin specialist can help determine if IPL is the right treatment based on your skin’s unique needs and goals.
